A New Stage, a New Deadline: Quantpedia Awards 2027 Are Here Again!

Hello everyone,

The Quantpedia Awards are back—and this time, we’re taking the winners’ announcement to the stage!

For the 2027 edition, we’re bringing together an attractive prize pool, a panel of investment professionals and academics, and a new opportunity to put outstanding quantitative research in front of the industry.

If you have been developing a systematic trading strategy, testing an investment idea, or turning your research into a paper, this is again your invitation to join the race…

A new stage for outstanding research

In partnership with The Data Driven Market Show, we will announce the Quantpedia Awards 2027 winners live on stage at Future Alpha 2027, during the conference on March 16–17, 2027—putting their research in the spotlight before a global audience of quantitative and systematic investment professionals.

Good research deserves to reach the people who can understand, challenge, and build on it. This partnership gives our awards a setting where research and investment practice meet—and gives the winning ideas a wider audience.

The live announcement also means an earlier competition schedule: submissions close on December 31, 2026, with the winners revealed in March 2027.

Want to be there for the announcement? Register for Future Alpha 2027.

$25,000 in prizes—and rewards that support your next research project

Our $25,000 prize pool combines cash awards with education, research tools, data access, and professional recognition, with prizes for the top five papers.

The first-place package includes:

  • A $3,000 cash award, jointly sponsored by Quantpedia and QuantConnect.
  • QuantInsti’s Executive Programme in Algorithmic Trading (EPAT).
  • Free entry to Future Alpha 2027
  • A 36-month Quantpedia Pro subscription.
  • A one-year QuantConnect Researcher Pack.
  • A StrategyQuant Professional License.
  • A one-year EOD Historical Data All-In-One package.
  • Access to a selected Quantra course.
  • An official winner’s badge and a featured interview on Quantpedia.com.

Second and third place also receive $1,000 and $500 in cash, respectively, alongside additional prizes. Across the five prize packages, the rewards offer resources to help researchers keep learning, testing, and developing their next ideas.

How to enter—and the new submission deadline

If you have participated before, please note that this edition’s submission deadline is December 31, rather than the previous April deadline.

To qualify, your paper must:

  • Be published between May 1 and December 31, 2026.
  • Be publicly available without an access fee in a recognized open-access research repository such as SSRN, arXiv, or a similar platform.

To enter, email your name and a link to your paper to awards@quantpedia.com by December 31, 2026, at 23:59 UTC.

Plan your research and publication schedule accordingly—we don’t want a promising paper to miss the deadline!

What makes a winning paper?

We’re looking for original ideas backed by clear, sound research and a practical approach to systematic investing.

The evaluation takes place in two stages. First, Quantpedia’s research team assesses submissions for implementability, clarity, and clearly stated performance and risk characteristics, selecting 10 shortlisted papers. An expert committee of investment professionals and academics then ranks the finalists to determine the top five.

Join the race!

Have a research paper ready—or an idea worth developing? We look forward to seeing your work and discovering the next outstanding contributions to quantitative investing.

Send your paper to awards@quantpedia.com by December 31, 2026, at 23:59 UTC.

Yours,

Radovan Vojtko & Team of Quantpedia.com
